The role of eosinophils in people with asthma varies among different phenotypes. The latest data show that in early-onset allergic asthma, eosinophils vary according to the level of allergic exposure, while in adult eosinophilic asthma they play a key role in damage and inflammation of the bronchi. Identifying these differences in each case is a key factor in choosing the right biological treatment.
